Complete the driver knowledge test at a RoadReady Centre. When passed you will be issued a learner’s certificate which entitles you to start learning to drive a Multi Combination vehicle.

After these steps are completed we can then start the training and assessment process.

All students are taught competencies as set down in the guide book. This book outlines the minimum standard required, and our standards exceed this requirement. Students are not only taught to drive a heavy vehicle, but also skills such as reversing, hill starts, ascending and descending steep hills, pre operational checks and load restraint. All our training also involves a large proportion of defensive driver skills for heavy vehicle drivers.

Canberra Region Truck & Bus School is an accredited Heavy Vehicle Assessor in the ACT. Your driving test can be conducted by us, as the ACT Motor Registry no longer conducts licence testing for Heavy Vehicles.
