Welcome to the website of Canberra Region Truck & Bus School.
We are a Driver Education business that services Canberra, Queanbeyan
and Regional areas of NSW. We offer instruction and assessment services
for cars, trucks, buses, coaches, semi, multi combination. Our Senior
Instructor is also a Driver Authority Trainer for NSW Bus/Coach
drivers.
Canberra Region Truck & Bus School was formed in 2003 to help
clients with their driver education needs. Since then we have become
well known for delivering quality customer service at an affordable
rate.
We pride ourselves on offering professional, quality, and value
for money customer service in a relaxed and friendly environment.
All our instructors are qualified and accredited in the ACT and
NSW to instruct and assess for all classes of licences (C, LR, MR,
HR, HC, MC).
As part of our team we have instructors and assessors with relevant
heavy vehicle industry experience, former licence testing officers
from motor registries, former military trainers and former ACT/NSW
police driver trainers.
We can provide logbook instruction /assessment for cars in the
ACT and Heavy Vehicles in NSW. This means no Government Test at
a Motor Vehicle Registry. We offer a one stop shop – we train
and we assess you.
Our instructors understand the pressures of learning to drive,
whether you are a 17-year-old learner going for your provisional
licence or a more experienced driver upgrading to a higher licence
class. Everybody was a learner at one stage of their driving career,
even our qualified and experienced instructors. We have not forgotten
the pressure involved in having that first drive in traffic, that
first attempt at having to do a reverse park or maybe the first
time you get behind the wheel of a B-Double, look in the mirrors
and think “my god, I’m driving the Queen Mary”.
We take the time to assess every client’s needs and with
this, develop a program designed to offer a value for money experience
with quality instruction/assessment.
We incorporate extra skills into our lessons such as defensive
driving techniques and the correct attitudinal components. Defensive
driving is not only about doing loops on a skidpan or high-speed
corners. It is about the ability to anticipate or judge what may
be about to happen around you. If you have these skills then you
may not need to know what to do in a skid, as you will have taken
the necessary steps before hand to avoid a potential crash. The
skills that you have learnt will put you ahead of the average driver
if you practice them each and every time you drive.
